Week 2: Saturn's Rings
Continued talking about personal/team goals.
We also did an activity called Saturn's Rings. We discovered how vital it is to share your goals with your team mates. It takes a team to accomplish your personal goals. It also can be uncomfortable/not easy to accomplish your goals. It takes hard work if you want to excel.
We came up with 2 team goals:
1. At every swim meet have 10 PR's
2. Be more positive by cheering on our team mates and talking positively daily.
How to accomplish:
Everyday you must say 1 positive comment.
Week 3: CONFIDENCE
First write down a past experience where you were successful. Explain this experience in detail. Where were you, how did you feel, what senses were activated, who did you talk to, etc? Put this somewhere you can see. It's important to remind ourselves of our success to motivate us to do better in the future.
Watch this video and take notes on what stands out to you.
What did you learn?
At the end of every practice have a 30 second lane chat. During this time you will express to your lane what you feel like you were great at during practice.
Week 4: Business
We talked about the homecoming float. The captains have solidified an idea.
Next week is quite busy with all the homecoming activities.
Monday: Kickball Tournament @ 4:00PM
Tuesday: Homecoming Pageant
Wednesday: Powder Puff Game
We will be decorating the float on Wednesday evening. Scott has offered his trailer. The team is encouraged to help out.
Thursday: During practice time- Go decorate the float
Friday: Parade and football game
All practices will remain the same. I will let everyone out by 3:00PM on Monday to get ready for the kickball game. We will also be out by 4:00PM on Friday to get ready for the parade.
